Waller

Waller is a planned HBO Max TV series featuring DC Comics characters characters from the films Suicide Squad and The Suicide Squad.

Viola Davis is set to star as Amanda Waller, a role she originated in the film series, and reprised briefly in the Peacemaker TV series. Davis will also be an executive producer. Christal Henry (Watchmen) and Jeremy Carver (Doom Patrol) are writing and executive producing. James Gunn and Peter Safran are also executive producing.

This is likely the series Gunn referenced in a January 2022 interview. At that time Gunn revealed, "We're working on something else now, another TV show that's connected to that universe." In the same report, unnamed sources confirmed that the series would be based on one of the characters from The Suicide Squad. Gunn was tight-lipped at the time adding only, "It is connected to this universe, and I don’t think it will be the same genre as Peacemaker; it won’t be as much a comedy as Peacemaker, but it will be in the same universe."
