Gunn Hints at Peacemaker 2, Additional DCEU Series
Fans of The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker will be happy to learn that filmmaker James Gunn isn't done playing in the DC Extended Universe yet.
In an interview with Deadline, Gunn said, "We're working on something else now, another TV show that's connected to that universe." The article cites unnamed sources that indicate Gunn is referring to a project in the realm of The Suicide Squad franchise.
When asked to further elaborate, Gunn replied, "I can’t say anything. It is connected to this universe, and I don’t think it will be the same genre as Peacemaker; it won’t be as much a comedy as Peacemaker, but it will be in the same universe."
Gunn also seems open to continuing Peacemaker beyond a single season. "We're the biggest show in the world right now," Gunn said, referring a recent report from Parrot Analytics. When asked about a second season he told Deadline, "There's a really good chance of that."
The fifth episode of Peacemaker dropped on HBO Max today.
