Silk: Spider Society (TV Series)

Silk: Spider Society is the planned MGM+ / Prime Video TV series based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name.

Cindy Moon is a classmate of Peter Parker who receives superpowers from the same irradiated spider that bites Parker.

The show is said to be part of a suite of shows based on Marvel's Spider-Man-adjacent properties, which Sony holds the film and TV rights to.

A November 2022 report puts Angela Kang (The Walking Dead) as showrunner on the series, which received a season order from Amazon Studios.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) are attached to produce along with Amy PascalJason Ning is co-executive producer with Kang.

Actor Tiffany Espensen played a character named "Cindy" in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which some speculated was Cindy Moon. It is unclear if Sony plans to keep the casting for this series.

Silk: Spider Society is being developed by Angela Kang (The Walking Dead) and will premiere on MGM+ with encores on Prime Video.
