Creature Commandos (TV Series)

Creature Commandos is a planned DC Studios animated series based on the DC Comics series of the same name. 

DC Studios chief James Gunn is writing the series which will see a human character leading a team of monstrous operatives.

An April report names the cast as Frank Grillo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) as voicing Rick Flagg Sr., Indira Varma (Human Target) as The Bride (of Frankenstein), Alan Tudyk (Resident Alien) as Dr. Phosphorus, David Harbour (Thunderbolts) as Eric Frankenstein, Zoe Chao (The Afterparty) as the amphibious Nina Mazursky and Sean Gunn pulling double duty as G.I. Robot and Weasel.

Also cast are Maria Bakalova (Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3) as Princess Ilana Rostovic and Steve Agee returning to the role of John Economos.

Gunn says the intention is to tell stories with massive scale but a modest budget. The series may also interact with live-action versions of DC Studios characters.

No timeline is set for the series, which will likely debut as a Max original.
