Thunderbolts (film)
Thunderbolts is a 2024 Marvel Studios live-action feature film based on the Marvel Comics title of the same name.
Jake Schreier (Robot & Frank, Beef) is attached to direct the project. Lee Sung Jin (Beef) is currently writing the script, while Eric Pearson (Black Widow) worked on the initial draft. Kevin Feige is producing.
The team was introduced into the Marvel Comics universe at a time when most of the world's heroes had disappeared. A new team rose to prominence to fill the absence, but the first-issue twist was that all the new heroes were actually old villains with an identity-makeover. What started as a scam eventually became a path to redemption for many of the villains-turned-hero.
The confirmed cast so far includes returning MCU actors Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Val/Contessa), Florence Pugh (Ylena), Wyatt Russell (USAgent), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), David Harbour (Red Guardian), Olga Kurylenko (Taskmaster) and Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost).
New cast members include Ayo Edebiri (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem) and Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead, Invincible).
