Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam is a 2010 animated short film featuring the three DC Comics characters named in the title.
Clark Kent (George Newbern) is researching a human interest story about a resilient orphan boy named Billy Batson (Zach Callison) when they are unexpectedly attacked by Black Adam (Arnold Vosloo). Clark defends the boy as Superman, causing Batson to flee into the subway where he encounters the wizard Shazam (the very encounter Adam was seeking to disrupt). Of course, the wizard confers his power on Billy, allowing him to transform into the Captain Marvel (James Garner). Josh Keaton, Danica McKellar and Kevin Michael Richardson also provide voices.
The film was directed by Joaquim Dos Santos from a script by Michael Jelenic and released as part of a DC Showcase DVD collection.
Black Adam has defeated Superman and Billy Batson is the only one left to save him, if only he could master his transformation into Captain Marvel in this clip from Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam.
