The Punisher (2017 TV Series)

The Punisher is a 2017 Netflix television series spinning out of the Daredevil series, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is the sixth series in the Marvel Netflix Universe.

Jon Bernthal reprises his role as Frank Castle, who first appeared at war with the criminals of New York in the second season of Daredevil. Here Frank is trying to maintain his low profile when he is outed by a mysterious player who promises to reveal the truth about his family's murder. Castle enters into an uneasy alliance with Micro (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) who has also been separated from his family. Micro, a former NSA analyst attempted to blow the whistle on his superiors and had to fake his own death to protect his family. He enrolls Castle in his plot to bring down the powers that have deprived both men of their loved ones. The series also stars Ben Barnes as Jigsaw, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani and has Deborah Ann Woll reprising her role of Karen Page.

The show ran for two seasons and was well-received by fans and critics.
