Green Lantern is an abandoned live-action TV series that had been in development for HBO Max based on the DC Comics character of the same name.
Seth Grahame-Smith and Marc Guggenheim have been initially tapped to write the series, with Grahame-Smith serving as showrunner of the ten-episode season. Both men have comic bonafides, with Grahame-Smith writing The Lego Batman Movie and Guggenheim co-developing Arrow with Berlanti. It must also be mentioned that Guggenheim wrote the Green Lantern film starring Ryan Reynolds, though the series apparently won't link to it.
In October 2022, news broke that the show was undergoing a creative overhaul. Seth Grahame-Smith was leaving the project. Actors Finn Wittrock and Jeremy Irvine, who had been cast at Guy Gardner and Alan Scott, were no longer attached. The show was now to be centered on the Green Lantern John Stewart.
