The Goon (Film)

The Goon is a planned Netflix CGI-animated feature film based on the Albatross Funnybooks comics series created by Eric Powell.

Powell has been working to convert his lushly-illustrated gangsters and monster franchise to animation for over a decade. At various points filmmaker David Fincher was attached to produce. Fincher attached animator and director Tim Miller (Deadpool). In 2012 the team unveiled a demo reel for the film with actor Paul Giamatti voicing the character of Franky. Fincher and Miller went on to create the animated anthology Love, Death + Robots for Netflix.

News from Comic-Con 2022 indicates that Miller is still actively working on the feature, in partnership with Netflix.
