A Wish For Wings That Work

A Wish for Wings That Work is the 1991 CBS Television animated TV special, based on the children's book A Wish For Wings That Work: An Opus Christmas Story by Berkeley Breathed. The book features characters from his comic strip Bloom County.

The special was written by Breathed and directed by Skip Jones for Amblin Entertainment. If features the voices of Michael Bell as Opus, Joe Alaskey as Truffles and John Byner as Bill the Cat.

In spite of having written the special, Breathed is famously unhappy with it and has been openly critical of it.
