Thor is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character, based on the Norse mythological deity of the same name, is the Asgardian god of thunder and possesses the enchanted hammer Mjolnir, which grants him the ability of flight and weather manipulation amongst his other superhuman attributes.

  1. how would someone start reading marvel comics? I mean for DC it’s pretty straightforward. there’s the new 52 and the more recent dc rebirth. But where do I start with marvel comics?

  2. How Thor became unworthy doesn’t take 30 min to explain. It’s simple, he’s a white Male and any social justice warrior knows that makes him unworthy.

  3. But Odin Son is literally a title, and Thor is his name. Wtf how can you switch the two? It sounds like stupid lazy writing to me.

  4. I was upset that he did not get the hammer. The whole thing was a plot device that never came to fruition. There was no point in this. Nothing has changed for Odinson. Ultimate Thor’s hammer was basically just a way to tell what happened to Hela and Thori and old asgard. Secondly I don’t know why you never brought it up, but during the league of realms arc leading into Jane Foster Thor and Malekith’s war of realms. There’s some story panel in the scene with himself and lady wazira where he is drunk out of his mind and talking to Mjolnir. I think it reads “A lone god believing himself unworthy, never knowing that this is the very thing that made him so” I am paraphrasing, but the jist is because Thor Odinson being as humble as he is never thinking he is better than anyone else always wondering if he’s finally good enough THIS is what the Hammer sees and responds to. Its explained further if you extrapolate a little from the chapters of his younger days in Scandinavia where he’s a cocksure brat with just Jarnbjron he’s not grown enough to understand humility and therefore can’t lift Mjolnir. So none of this story really makes sense his doubt cannot be both what allows him to lift Mjolnir and not lift it at the same time.
